Our Spanish flamenco presentations, led by vocalist Taina Asili, guitarist Gaetano Vaccaro and one of our professional flamenco dancers, are customizable for all grade levels from primary through high school. Workshops offer students a taste of this beautiful Andalusian Spanish folkloric art by combining performance demonstration in full regalia, with a lesson in flamenco’s history and culture as it relates to Spain and the many ethnic groups that have moved through to create what we now know as flamenco. Students find joy and engagement as they are invited to participate in exploring the rhythms and percussive aspects of the art.
